Biosketch


Tony Tinsley (Ph.D., 1971, University of Minnesota) is an Emeritus Professor of Counseling Psychology and Applied Psychology and former Director of Training of the Counseling Psychology Program at SIUC. His areas of expertise include the psychology of leisure, vocational psychology, psychological measurement, expectations about counseling, and psychological assessment. He is the former editor of the Journal of Vocational Behavior and the senior of the Handbook of Applied Multivariate Statistics and Mathematical Modeling , and Volume 2: Personal Counseling and Mental Health Problems of the Encyclopedia of Counseling . He is the author of more than 150 professional publications and the developer of the Expectations About Counseling-Brief Form, a widely used measure in counseling process research.
