Biosketch


Dr. Ramanaiah (Ph.D., 1971) is an Emeritus Professor of Applied Psychology at SIUC, where he was on the faculty for more than 30 years (1971-2003). His disciplinary specialities are personality measurement, test theory, and statistics. he taught graduate courses in Advanced Test Theory, Principles and Problems of Personality Assessment, Experimental Design and Data Analysis, and Multivariate Statistical Methods. His research interests include theoretical, methodological, and measurement issues in sex roles and androgyny, asssertiveness, hardiness, structure of personality and the Five-Factor model of personality. He has published over 60 research articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented over 70 research papers at regional and national psychology conferences. He was a consulting editor and masthead reviewer for Journal of Personality Assessment for 20 years (1983-2003).
