Biosketch:

Josephine (Jo) D. Korchmaros who received her Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut , is an assistant professor in the Applied Psychology program at Southern Illinois University (SIU). Jo is a social psychologist and is interested in how people's behaviors are affected by their expectations of what they and their interaction partner will do and should be doing in a particular situation. Jo pursues this interest by studying relationships, social norms, social categorization and stereotyping, helping, and help seeking. Jo also has statistical expertise, particularly in testing mediation and in hierarchical linear modeling.
