Dr. Yanico is a Counseling Psychologist and a retired member of the Counseling Doctoral Program faculty in the Department of Psychology at SIUC. Her current research interests include gender role attitudes, ethnic/racial identity development, and measurement issues. Her articles have appeared in professional journals such as
Journal of Vocational Behavior,
Journal of Counseling Psychology,
Psychology of Women Quarterly, and
Educational and Psychological Measurement. Dr. Yanico is also a co-author of the Career Decision Scale, a widely used measure of vocational indecision. She has served on the editorial board of the
Journal of Counseling Psychology and is a former co-chair of the Association for Gay and Lesbian Issues in Counseling (American Counseling Association).
